does your school have job placement? talk to your councelor to see what they can offer. you may have to work from the bottom of the barrel to get the experience. try starting as a waiter, and work your way up into the kitchen. we all have to start somewhere.

Check your neighborhood diners out. Also nursing/assisted living homes have lots of kitchen cook jobs available. Hotels, dinner cruise lines. Cruise ships like "Norwegian Cruise Lines" hires for jobs like this all the time. Go online to Norwegian Cruise Lines and click on jobs. I hope this helps.

The place to go is a start-up family business ... they're watching their expenses, but need lots of help. I'm opening a place in November, and would gladly hire a culinary student, but note, it's probably going to be at minimum wage.
