I can think of lots of things that are "evil" but are not illegal.

What about rat fights ? or Lizard fights? Or a Bull fight?

So you think its ok to purposely train dogs to rip each other apart and in the mix throw in animals that have not been trained to fight just to be torn apart and killed.

Wow.

Regarding bull fights, there is no animal cruelty involved. You're pinning a bull against a bull- you're humoring the bull by being riden by some poor soul that doesn't have a chance in heck of harming the bull. Though I do not support PETA- since they're just ridiculous, the fact is that dog's do have legal rights. There are specific laws protecting dogs (among other animals) just as there are laws protecting people.

Firstly, it is cruel to the animals concerned. No matter whether you think they get any enjoyment out of fighting or not (like boxers or martial artists), the injuries sustained are painful and potentially fatal.
Secondly, training dogs to fight makes the animal potentially dangerous to anyone who comes in contact with it. Unless you have it on a muzzle permanently it could bite people when you are out walking it. (Unless you keep it permanently locked up, which is also cruel).
Thirdly, organising dog fights may upset anybody who has any concern for dogs' welfare.
Fourthly, the noise from dog fights (unless held at a remote location or underground) is disturbing and carries for a long distance.

It doesn't. It's just plain wrong. You don't need a right or wrong manual for this one. Michael Vick is an embarrassment. First, he gets stopped at Miami Airport for stashing his weed -- an illegal substance, in a liquid carrier??? -- something now allowed on planes anymore. Now he's involved in dog-fighting....

It doesn't, it infringes on animal rights. Not to mention, hanging, electrocuting, bashing, drowning, and picking up injured dogs over your head and smashing them onto the ground to kill them, is a pretty damn good indication there is something mentally wrong with you.

dog fighting is not right.....that is cruelty to animals......they dont make the decision to fight the owners do.....i dont believe that is should be a law for someone to use another animal to fight with another animal for territorial reasons for the owner
