It differs for each person. Just give it several months, then you'll be an old pro at it.

It pays to never become too comfortable while driving, always stay alert, you never know when something unexpected will happen.

I was the exact same way when i started. I was nervous on the road & panicked everytime a car approached me. But just continue to focus & drive as much as you can. Starting out i would only drive occassionally so it took me a little longer to relax. but as i began to drive more regularly I began to become more & more comfortable. So drive at every opportunity u get =)

for me about 2 hours, but then my dad, who taught me to drive, was a professional driver, and i dont panic in emergency situations. on average though mist people take about 6 months before driving becomes less stressful. you do however want to remain attentive to your driving, and what is going on around you. treat driving like pilots treat flying. as long as you are behind the wheel, even when just sitting in a parking lot with the engine off, you are driving. and you dont stop driving the car until you get out of the car.

You are going to need a lot of driving training. Please--if you are not mature enough to drive without freeking -- Please wait till you are another year older. Driving is very had to learn. If some one said it was easy--they lied.
The one thing I am concerned is that you get into an accident and some one might hurt-- even youself.
You need self confidence and discipline in your self. I see what you write and ya need to wait another year.---ok .. I'm not trying to be mean....
