Anyone know of some scary movies out on DVD that aren't THAT scary? Like:
When a Stranger Calls, Disturbia, The Village, The Ring...all those aren't that scary. Anyone know any others?

I love the best is the original one, Scary Movie 1... It's so funny as hell... But the worst would absolutely be Scary Movie 3, the movie was 1 hour 20 minutes but then I felt so soon that it's just like 40 minutes of filming...

High tension is great. Mothman prophecies, I found jeepers creepers good too. The saw movies did it for me, may b a little too gory and scary though. The shining is psychologicaly daunting and the first hell raiser is scary. There is also a really camp but great 70's ish horror called motel hell which I watched late one night with my boyfriend and we loved it. Try researching hammer studios for some old 70's gothic vampire tales. Really good, not too scarey stuff

The Village-not at all scary. Oops,didn't notice that on your list. How about The Others? Now for a scary one check out High Tension. It is a french film but has english subtitles. Great suprise ending,lots of gore and great storyline. The creepiest movie I have ever seen.

To this day, I don't think anyone has come out with a truly scary movie. House on Haunted Hill was good but not scary-Thirteen Ghosts was good but not scary-Ghost Ship, good not scary-The Excorcism of Emily Rose, good not scary-Silent Hill was....hmmm...interesting but not scary and nowhere near as good as the video game-

Vacancy was pretty good. Also, if you liked The Ring, then check out One Missed Call. It's Japanese with English subtitles, but worth the extra effort.

Audition, in my opinion one of the scariest movies if you like the ring. This is Japanese also but its just ****** up.
