... how does that work. When you open your homes back door and front door and you get a powerful breeze streaming through the house.

Same thing happened in the car earlier. I was parked up and opend both drivers and passengers windows which resulted in a pleasant breeze

Aside from normal wind, the different air pressures inside and outside the house or car create a flow of air. Also the venturi effect may sustain the flow of air. When it passes through a small opening like a door or window, a low pressure zone is created on the other side and more air is drawn in.

You'll get a breeze as long as there's a slight difference in air pressure between the front side and back side of the house (pressure differences are the source of all breezes). The air will always move from an area of higher pressure to an area of lower pressure (even if the difference is very slight).

It doesn't work so well when you have only one door open. If you open (say) the back door only, and high-pressure air starts to move into the low-pressure house, very quickly the pressure inside the house will increase; that's because you're "crowding" more air into the house and there's nowhere for it to escape. In a very short time, the air pressure inside the house is the same as the pressure at the back door, and the air stops moving.

A breeze is like a stream of particles having velocity(
both magnitude and direction). Opening up the
back door won't help as much if the direction of
the breeze vector is pointing toward the back(travelling
from the front of the house toward the back).
By opening up the front door the breeze which was
already travelling toward the front door prior(bouncing
off the front door) is allowed to blow through the door way.

Another way that opening up multiple doors can
aid in producing circulation is by allowing trapped
compressed air to escape. Although, this can
be done simply by opening one door by opening
two doors the ambience can provide more
circulation and distribution of the air.

Hey, mick...that's how we had 'air-conditioning' at home in the wayyyyy back days! As for cars, we used to say we had a 4/60 airconditioning system---open all 4 doors and go 60 mph. ba-da-bing. The 2-door house cooling still works great once the sun goes down and the evening breezes start... natural draft beats A/C, plus which you can hear the night critters and smell the greenery!

Think about it!

When you open both doors the air is able to stream straight through but when only one door is open the air flows in and then finds it can't go anywhere and builds up a pressure which resists the movement of any more air into the house/car etc.

as with all fluids (and actually works with electricity too) it takes the path of least resistance. in this case it is air pressure. In order for you to get flow into anything there must be a difference in pressure (pumps in fluid systems create this) or a difference in height (called head which acts as pressure for water about 33 feet equals one atmosphere or 14.7 psia)

with one window open all that can happen is increasing the air pressure inside the home. once the pressure equalizes air will no longer flow. the venturi effect talked about earlier is like putting your finger halfway over the end of a hose. the velocity increases and pressure decreases.

When i lived in San Diego i never paid for air conditioning because of this. i got a very strong breeze through my apartment simply by opening my bedroom window and the porch window. this is a great money saver for people as long as they realize that they need to open up 2 windows :P

If you live in Miami, Florida the only thing that you will get coming through your back door and front door is a powerful gust of reggaeton music-- no breeze.

If you have more than one floor you can also do this by opening a window on an upper floor and another on the lowest floor. We do this in our building which is an old (100yrs) house converted into flats. We live on the top floor and by opening a window up here and one in the hallway on the ground floor we create a nice cool environment throughout the entire building, even on the hottest days.

Not bad! Really, it's good. But I find (forgive me if you disagree) this part to be very contradicting : "a pedophile with a conscience". I am thinking that it would complicate the plot and for me, more often than not, I couldn't find ways to properly end off the story because there was too much factors involved. Maybe you could change that this boy is a CHANGED pedophile? He was one before, but something happened and he is no longer one now. Good luck!

in a closed room air pressure decreases slowly. when u open it through cross ventilation air rushes inside creating a breeze
