Being stuck for me is the place in the creative cycle when tension builds up and all the problems I face are in my head.

Being unstuck is either when I'm high from inspiration or absorbed in making or doing. So perhaps unstuck is the feeling you get next in the creative cycle. It usually comes after sleep, when the solution to my problems appears.

This process is probably due to the logical rational part of the mind being unable to think a step by step way through a problem. In sleep you reintegrate your thoughts and the emotional creative part of the brain sees the pattern. This process is well documented in the biographies of famous artists, scientists and other thinkers.

"Man is born free, yet everywhere he is in chains," wrote Rousseau. I think the answer to your question is to be found in that quotation.

I think "freedom" is a loose term, as imposing absolute freedom on a human being would be chaotic; societies would collapse.

To be "existentially" free (which I define here as the opposite of "stuck") is to be without commitment , compromise, or duty to another. It is to have choice, and freedom of choice, and the right to exercise that choice.

Unfortunately, exercising choice on a free reign will always impose limitations on another. E.g., choosing not to pay for things may leave the shopkeeper without food for his children.

A very tricky question, with an almost limitless possibility of answer. Very good!

It takes time and many lifetimes to get unstuck from the the cycle of life and death and this is where existentialism comes in to play and living authentic and the totality of reality :))) It depends on the soul in question and how he or she will get out of the cycle or how they will do everything in their power to reach the higher depths of their souls there are no easy answers and everyone has their own journey to follow and where it leaves them only they can make that call and the higher powers that be :)) Good luck :))
