A community college deferment would have lasted only two years, so Nugent is not telling the whole truth. He was eligible for the draft for at least 6 years. He certainly fits the definition of a chicken hawk Republican; someone who is pro-war who avoided service himself.

Nugent isn't for the draft, but many democrats are, and it was democrats who forced people to go to Vietnam. Obama himself supports war, and he sure as hell never came close to the Military. Bill Clinton supported taking out Saddam so did Hillary and most of the Democrats, very few of them were ever in the Military. The BS that you can't support action if you didn't join the military is about stupid. Democrats are the ones who FORCE others to fight, Republicans didn't.

Ted Nugent is Ted Nugent...a radical in his own right. That doesn't mean he would not make a good politician. The only thing that will hurt him is his uncanny idea that he can speak his mind freely and truthfully and doesn't care what the rest of the world thinks of him.....and I believe that we already have a President who has that level of arrogance.

Ted Nugent is the offspring of Mr. Greenjeans and Capt. Kangaroo. If you are too young to remember Capt. Kangaroo just google him. Mr. Greenjeans was his side kick, and Ted's father.

Are you afraid of a rock star's opinion? Even a rock star that is bigger than him is opposed to entertainers and politics being intertwined:

SO HE DIDN'T SERVE BIG DEAL. HOW MANY ON THE LEFT SERVED? AL GORE WAS A REPORTER WITH A BODY GUARD. JOHN KERRY SHOULD HAVE AVOIDED
SERVICE SINCE HE TURNED INTO A MILITARY HATING SLIME.

Oakland Community college? Wow, that is definitely a "get me out of the draft!" card. Ted Nugent is very much a chickenhawk republican. I can't stand the man.

I kind of wonder if he was sort of like Dan Quayle was during the 60s. That is, they were able to avoid being drafted, yet they spouted out a bunch of pro-war rhetoric.

Let him run. And if he's elected, then the people got what they deserved. They always do...
