The formation of ozone hole over Antarctica is considered to have a relation with the lowest temperature available in the lower stratosphere over the south pole. The lower stratosphere over the Antarctica is coldest spot on the earth. From June to September, cold winds blow around the region which prevent warmer air from entering.
The temperature in the lower stratosphere over south pole drops below -80(minus eighty) degrees celcius.A small amount of water vapour which is available here ,freezes and forms thin clouds of ice crystals. They are called polar stratospheric clouds. These ice crystals combine with some chemical compouds which are availble in the atmosphere to produce chlorine atoms which destroy ozone molecules.
Over north pole this lower stratosphere is comparatively warmer and the polar stratospheric clouds are less common and hence there is no depletion of ozone layer over North pole.

the guy that responded in the past me is suited approximately what varieties ozone. besides the incontrovertible fact that pollutants can impression ozone interior the better ecosystem. some ingredients easily bond with oxygen. The bonds formed in an 03 (ozone) molecule are susceptible. while the oxygen is extra fascinated in different ingredients the ozone would not sort as easily. Ozone is continuously forming and comming aside it truly is a relentless technique. some chemical ingredients will stay interior the better ecosystem and bond with the oxygen to shrink the finished volume of ozone formed.
