Yes, once from a middle-age evangelical christian friend. I didn't out to her for a LONG, LONG time, knowing what i thought her response would be. But once she met my girl, and saw how happy we are, she couldn't deny how right it is for me.

Yep.
Growing up, I was in a very conservative Christian home, with a REALLY conservative dad and a mother who was less so, but still - they were both pretty intense.
So I'm about 17 or 18 when I really start talking to my mom a lot more and opening up about different things. Now, I'm more or less straight. But I talked to her about how I didn't think homosexuality was a sin - and she actually listened and commended me for having a heart for the people that many Christians, well...don't handle too well.(As a big understatement.) She related a story about a mentor she had who was gay, and made me realize that just because someone doesn't agree with a certain lifestyle, doesn't mean that they automatically HATE the people living it. She supported my opinion even though she didn't agree, and she showed me that Christians really CAN love other people without being bigots or assholes trying to convert them.
Sorry if this gets a lot of thumbs down - I know there's a ton of people who've had terrible experiences with people of this religion. Just try to have the open mind you say Christians don't, and believe there ARE some good Christians out there. Thanks for the question - I'm sure it's encouraging a lot of people who really need it. :)

Sadly no, the only support that I've had was with my boyfriend. He's probably helped support me more than my friends have. He understands the problems I face everyday, he doesn't judge me for my problems and why I can't see to solve some of them. He's helped me along the way with supporting me with issues that I've faced.
I'm still trying to find friends who are willing to support me emotionally, it would be nice. But I know that when a friend is in need of support I will help support them as much as I can.

Yeah! My mother was evil, my parents threw me out of the house when they found out I was gay. But after I had been living on the street for a while, my Grandma (mom's Mom) took me in and gave me unconditional love and support. She never told my mother that I was living with her. Grandma was an old-fashioned strict Christian, but she loved me totally.
Damn I miss her......
