Iran already has filled the Iraqi power vacuum ... they have been the big winners since day 1 of our invasion. Remember that it was the US that built Iraq up to counter Iran's influence in the region..... who else would benefit from their fall from power? This is also why Bush has given $20billion in weapons to Saudi and $30 billion in aid to Israel... to do what we've been doing for a while now... throwing money and weapons into the region until we find a balance that suits us.... does no one other than myself see that this too will come back to bite us in the a*s? The middle east wouldn't be an issue and we wouldn't have Jihadists trying to kill us if we wouldn't have played the puppet master in the Iraq/Iran war and Russia/Afghan war.. and we wouldn't have the 9/11 attacks if we wouldn't placed troops in Saudi during the first Gulf War. I'm not saying this excuses the terrorists, it doesn't... but why do we keep doing the very things we know to be the cause of the problems?
