I am possibly 2 weeks pregnant...(Hard to keep track when hubby & I are having sex constantly)...Has anyone taken a home pregnancy test and gotten a faint line ? Should I take that as a positive test or should I disregard it? Did your test have a faint line and you were pregnant? I have taken 4 test, 3 different kinds and 3 of them had a faint line and 1 of them had nothing at all. Give me your results and how far along you were when you took the test

➔ Trying to Conceive
i am absolutely sure of possible conception date. We started to conceive on August 16, 2007. I have been extremely queasy, and increase of appetite for the past 3 days. I haven't been exposed to any outside germs so having a cold or anything of the sort is oput of the question

Yes I am absolutely sure of the conception date...We began trying to conceive on August 16,2007. Not a day before but definately as much as possible afterwards. I am just asking to get others opinions and results. I have contacted my doctor and made an appointment for confirmation. I have had sever nausea and increase in appetite for the past few days almost a week and have not been exposed to any outside germs so it cant be a cold. That is why I decided to take the test.

I have 2 children, and another one the way. The test with my youngest was very faint, but they say that a line is a line and means positive, as long as it showed up within the suggested time period. I would wait a week or 2, and re-test, or you could always ask your Dr for a blood test. Those can tell sooner. When I found out for sure with my daughter, I was about 4 weeks pregnant. I had tested a week before, and there was a super faint line but I wasnt sure. With this baby, I was 5 1/2 weeks, so my test was dark right away, and with my oldest, I was about 4 weeks when I found out. Good luck!

A faint line is a positive result! Congrats! It may be a little early to detect if you think you are only about 2 weeks along. I was about 6 weeks and I took the digital kind...I think it was EPT and it said pregnant before the little hour glass was present. The most accurate way to find out is to have a blood test run to make sure...but it sounds to me that you are preggo!
Good luck!

I would say any line, faint or dark means a positive, especially three in a row. Are you sure that you are calculating right on how far along you would be? Two weeks does seem early to test. I was 4 weeks when I got my positive and it showed up right away. I did a digital test.

I had a faint line and I was pregnant. My doctor told me I was pregnant at 9 days. A test only picks up on HcG hormones and maybe your early pregnancy and caused a faint line. I would go with, your pregnant. Make an OB appointment.
Congratulations

I took first response and then clear blue easy and both gave me faint positive lines. About 2 days later, I took a digital EPT that tells you "pregnant" or "not pregnant" just to be sure. That test confirmed it for me, and I'm now about 5 weeks along. I took these tests this weekend, around a week after my missed period.
You may want to try the digital test that will spell it out for ya, I highly recommend it.
Best wishes!

Have you missed your period yet? That would be an indication that you are pregnant. A faint line is considered a positive. Wait a few days and test again with your first urine of the morning. Or see your doctor for bloodwork. Good luck and it sounds like you are pregnant!!!!

I took a test like the day before I missed my period, i got a faint line, I let it sit out, and it was a little more visiable...I REALLY wanted to be preg. I waited till my period should have ended and took another test, I got a postive before I finished peeing long enough on the stick. Just test after you should have missed your period. Otherwise you will drive your self nuts staring at the little lines. Also, try the digital ones that say Pregnant/not pregnant. :)
Good Luck!! :)

Wait another week or so and do another test. Sometimes you only get faint lines when the hormone levels are still low. If you still get the same reading and you're sure you're pregnant, go to the doctor for a blood test.

a faint line is still a line. You are pregnant. Contact your DR. right away so you can have confirmation.
A positive test can show up as early as 8 days past ovulation.
Congratulations.
