I know a lot of things made in the movies were movie props only, but I liked the technology used in this show. According to what the commander told his fellow crewmen, there were different settings for this gun, stun being one setting.

This gun shot electricity, not bullets. I would like to know if anyone has invented a type of gun like this. If they have, I want to know about it. There are some neighbor dogs I would like to use it on, just to train them not to bark and howl, especially when they wake me up at night.

I have told my neighbors, I dont appreciate their dogs being so vocal, but they dont hear their dogs. All I want to do is make it uncomfortable for the dogs to do whatever they want.

I will be looking forward to a positive answer.

You would have better luck with an ultrasonic dog trainer. This solution uses negative reinforcement to stop the dogs barking without hurting or harming them. Also your neighbour may object if you start shooting their pets with ray guns ^_^.

Perhaps you would be interested in a Taser - though I neither support nor condone the use of such an item on humans or animals, except in the case of threat to life.

Not exactly a "Star Trek Phaser" but may be of interest.
