I have heard exercise helps a lot, but I know for awhile when I would exercise my mind would be on something that I was stressed about, and I would get more stressed knowing that here I was wasting time exercising.
However, now it helps me. So...my suggestion to you is to try walking with headphones (iPod, whatever), and listen to your favorite music and just pump yourself up. It will release endorphins which will in turn help you feel better.
Also, try writing down the things that stress you out. Work, love life, terrorism...etc...and then write down ways you think that you can fix them. Those items on your list that are fixable, focus on them...and let the ones that you cannot control go.
It's easier said then done, I know, but it's very unhealthy to stress about things that you have no control over. I was having a complete meltdown about those miners in utah, and I just had to let it go.

I know what you mean! I've learnt that caffeine is a big no no if you don't want stress, try not to drink soda, coffee, red bull or anything that gives you a big lift, you'll soon down off that high and it makes you generally moody! Also, sleep deprivation will make you stressed. All work and no play will make you stressed. If this sounds like you, here's the remedy: Get lots of fresh air, go walking, time out doing something you enjoy, socialise! drink loads of water, no caffenine, lots of sleep, cut down on tv and computer, eat healthily and turn negatives into postives. Hope I helped!

I would keep a journal & find out what is stressing you out.
Once you figure it out, you can change some of your behavior. Otherwise, taking a yoga class, swimming or any kind of exercise you enjoy doing (dancing) will reduce some of the tension. You can try meditating, listening to soft relaxing music, try to go to bed @ the same time each night & get plenty of rest, eat healthy nutritious foods (organic when you can) & stay hydrated.
