Well, sorry to disappoint all patriotic Malaysians, Mount Kinabalu is presently the tallest mountain in Malaysia.
The highest mountain in Southeast Asia is Hkakabo Razi 5881m, located in Myanmar (Burma).
Second to that is Puncak Jaya 5030m, Indonesia
Followed by the third, which is Trikora 4751m, Indonesia
At the fourth place is Mandala 4701m, Indonesia
And finally, the FIFTH is Mt. Kinabalu 4094m, Malaysia
No doubt... the tallest of them all in Asia and the world is Mount Everest, reigning at 8.848m in Nepal.

TheBear is right about Hkakabo Razi, the highest mountain in Southeast Asia. About Puncak Jaya and Trikora, it depends whether you consider Papua is geographically, not politically, part of Southeast Asia.
Everest is the highest mountain in Asia and the world.
