Well, some African-American women certainly do care, because they have expressed themselves on this topic here on Answers.
The whole idea that those are "our men" and you must leave them alone simply does not wash. Men and women are all part of the same human race, and should be permitted to love and marry whomever suits them. There's really no excuse for bad-mouthing someone for who they fall in love with.
But I also think it's a mistake to say "I love XYZ kind of men." You may end up having to eat humble pie when you fall in love with someone you hadn't expected to turn you on. Men, like women, are individuals. You choose on the basis of race or any other trivial reason, you are limiting yourself in very sad ways.

That's a stereotype...
Just look at the programs on BET that encourage the "loud" and "rude" behavior. Hot Ghetto Mess in particular did a stint about a Black man going over to a White woman's table and offering her champagne while completely ignoring the Black women nearby. And of course head twitching and pointing followed.
I think people should lay off of the media and read a book.

Well it's the same way they say that all bw are on welfare when in actuality the Census Bureau shows that 70% of all welfare recipients are white women. It is a stereotype, and urban myth if you will that we as black women have to combat everyday.

They know we don't care, so they come to Y!A asking the most fatuous questions ever. I must say that it is mostly the black men who do this thing, of asking questions that we couldn't care less about, even posing as white men too. I guess they think we care that they date only overweight white women. No pun intended. Black women, let's continue being the strong-minded, independent, educated women that we are.

You know what though...we really have much more that we need to focus on than who someone is bedding down! Look at the injustice in Jena, Louisiana, that is a real issue, not this crap...please lets think of something else!

You are one woman -- and a delusional one at that -- if you think most black women aren't bothered by the fact that black men dating outside of their race (in particular running to white women) is becoming a trend. Not to mention that your opinion is biased since you date outside of your race therefore deeming your entire post null.
Open your eyes sista! Find yourself a strong black man and lets bring the black family back.
