You are mistaken. Overpopulation (whether perceived or real), unemployment and poverty have one common cause: poor government policy. In the particular case of India, 70% of its population is trapped in the countryside doing subsistence farming, and the government does nothing to encourage people to move to the cities, nor does it do anything to prepare the cities for the eventual reversal of the rural/urban population shares...

"What can we do to stop population?"

I would like to point out to you that population is not your biggest problem. Overpopulation does not lead to poverty nor unemployment! I don't know about terrorism, but I doubt that it would lead to terrorism either.

If unemployment is a real big problem in India, then it's not because of the population. Whether there are 100,000 or 100,000,000 people in a country makes no difference if all of them are unemployed. A small country with few people can have high unemployment. Unemployment has absolutely nothing to do with how many people you have in the country!

What leads to unemployment? People are usually unemployed because there's no incentive to work. It may be because people believe that it's a noble thing not to work. But what's more likely is that unemployment is high, because there are certain laws and taxes which discourage people from working and earning lots of money. So, what you need is not a population reduction but a "government reduction." Your country needs to reduce the powers of your government. Your government must stop controlling and regulating the economy. That's the solution.

TEAM = Together Everyone Achieves More

If we think mathematically, then a country with very huge population should be in a better shape than a country with small population. Why? Because many people together can accomplish a lot more than few people. If you want to transform your country into paradise, you'll need lots of workers. So, thinking about reducing India's population is actually a bad idea. It's a socialist idea.

Why is it a socialist idea? Because socialists focus on distribution instead of production. For example, a socialist thinks like this: "We have a fixed amount of jobs, and we got to divide these among the people. So, we have to reduce the amount of people in order to make sure that every person has a job!" Instead of increasing the number of businesses and jobs, they think about decreasing the number of people. That's socialism.

Give the people an incentive to work, and they'll work. That's all you need to do.

Spread freedom and capitalism. Look at birth rates in developed nations vs. developing or undeveloped nations. The latter have a much higher birth rate.

Why? Because kids have positive economic value. They can do work. In the agrarian days of this country, children were cheap farmhands. Now, in the industrialized world, kids suck your teat for 22 years then go off on their own. The main economic incentive to having kids in an industrialized nation is to have someone to care for you when you're old. So, one or two will do. No need for 10.

first of all, when people are at the age to marry, over 21yrs. and decide to have children, it should be both husband and wife choice to do this or not. if both wish to have children then have them, if this is this choice, you should have 2 children, this is better to do, have them like 2-yrs apart, so that they can grow-up together, this teaches them to not feel alone also better for the parents, that way you have your children , then . use common sence and a birth-control.....bothe parents ( male) and female, not matter what the gender of the children are.
