Yeah, I felt totally like a lunatic, but you'd definately notice when it was a full moon a couple thousand years ago...
The moon is far enough away from the planet that the way we see its gravitiational affect is from the high water line and low water on the oceans tide, but when there is a full moon the earth is experiencing a high amount of tensile forces because the sun and the moons gravitational fields are pulling against the earth, the opposite is true during new moon but the earth experiences compressive forces, the sun and moon's gravitational field pulling the same direction on the earth,
---But people are naturally most stressed during New Moon and craziest during Full Moon.

Actually tonight is the full moon, but since it lasts 3 days, part of it was last night, and part is tomorrow, and yes it did effect me big time, although I will spare u the details

Yes, when I heard the NPR story on the lunar eclipse which happened early this morning. The commentator reported that Columbus used a lunar eclipse to trick a local chieftain into continuing his support. I set my alarm and got up to see the last quarter of the moon retreat and the eerie dull red Mars-like orb replace it. A-proud-luna(r)tic.
