of thumbs downing the nice people around here? They can have great answers or just plain sweet ones and all you do is thumbs them down. What is the point?

I've noticed that a lot lately too. The other day I asked a question and hadn't even looked at the answers yet, when I went in all of the ppl that answered had a thumbs down. Mean people suck! =)

More than likely,teenagers. Or immature people who have no logic or reasoning skills, and are blind to everyone but themselves. Talk with most people these days, and 80% of them will be ignorant and literally stupid. I mean stupid by the way the dictionary describes it. Everyone is trying to get ahead or feel better about themselves, so therefore they put people down. I've noticed you find this ALOT in "big cities". Populations of more than 20,000. I'm not sure what this phenomena is, but I hate the city. It's full of these "gansters". Listen to rap, thinking they are invisable, disrespecting people, living their lives with no course or direction. It's disgusting where America's next generation of adults are heading. By the way, I'm not an angry old man, I actually just turned 21. So I get to see our youth close up. I went from stone cold stoner, to straight and narrow. Turn on,tune in,drop out!

I think the point of thumbing down is supposed to be if the answer is non-specific, vague, or otherwise missing the point entirely or goofy.

I don't get that either,I have someone thumbs down all the people ahead of them, its like we will pick them for top answer...
who knows how haters think and I don't want to know how they think....

Because I disagree with them and by the rules I can thumbs down any answer I don't like or I think is bad.

obviously someone made you mad....this is a great place to be and come to and even sometimes to relieve some stress because you get different answers very fast. you also have to remember people just answer dumb short answers just to get points and not get thier point accross. so just ignore those people and just enjoy the nice people and thank those who are using those talented minds to help those of us in need.

I just thumbs down someone if they say something offensive (something racist, something negative about the asker, or even just something completely unrelated to the question, etc.) I don't do it if they genuinely seem like they're trying to answer the question.
