I have an unweighted 3.73 GPA out of 4, and a weighted 3.82. I've only taken a couple honors classes throughout high school (Chemistry and Math 9) and no APs, but I'm going to be taking two APs my senior year (Economics and Psychology). I've taken the ACTs once so far and scored a 29 Composite with a 9 out of 12 on the writing, and I hope to bring that up to at least a 30 on my second go-around. I'm a pretty rounded student as I have been on missions trips to 3 different countries over the past 4 years, helping to build homes for poverty stricken people and help AIDS patients etc... I am very involved in my school's music program (4 years of marching band, drumline, pep band, jazz band, percussion ensemble etc...) and have had many acheivments in the area of music. I'm not sure about class ranking, since my high school doesn't rank. So would Wake Forest be considered more of a reach or a target?

I answered your question about Richmond and mentioned you could do better. You do have a shot at Wake Forest. While I think the probability of getting into Richmond is very high, I think that Wake Forest is a reach school for you -- but still a real possibility.

Princeton Review has a web site where they give lots of information on admissions statistics. They also have a tool where you enter information about your background and it spits out a list of schools that would be a good fit for you. I've included the link below.

It appears you have an excellent resume and thus would be very competitive for admission.

There are somethings you can do to make sure you understand the process, etc. Look at the application for admissions, contact an admissions counselor, ask around and see if you can find someone who graduated from there, keep your grades up, start thinking who you want as references, ask lots of questions.

Suggest you look at this:

Yea and Wake Forrest isn't exactly on the Ivy Leagers beat and track. That's in Illinois, isn't it.
