It is all relative. If you’re standing behind the magician their illusions don’t seam so magical any more. We know that we don’t perceive every thing. Our senses don’t work that way. How far does our ignorance go? Well you know what they say about ignorance. Should have taken the blue pill. And Dagoth shall wake to the damnation of us all.

Many have tried to prove that the world is an illusion, but nobody as yet has proved that it is not. Some go on chanting: "the world is an illusion, the world is an illusion" ,but this is only an attempt to convince themselves that the suffering they experience in the world is not real.; like, 'hey, wake up, this is not real'. It should not be real, therefore it must not be real. It cannot be real. It is an attempt at self-hypnosis
Fact is, even if it IS an illusion, like a dream, the experiencing is still real. While the dream lasts, the experiencing is real, sometimes all too real, like in nightmares. It makes no difference whether the experiencing is in the dreaming or in the waking state.
Illusion or reality, the world will stay with us until we make ourselves fit to leave it. That is the whole of the spiritual discipline.

An illusion? You think a simple illusion is gonna cause so much in the way of emotional behavior? Nay, I say. An illusion is not real, it cannot be felt, although it may be seen and enjoyed or feared, but that which we are fearing is our own fear, and that which we enjoy is our own also. To enjoy something that is not an illusion is to touch, to feel, and to experience the thing, or to fear it for what harm it can do to us here and now. An illusion, nay. The world is real, our own perceptions are the illusions to which you allude.

Illusion is something many people believe that is false.
On the basis of this definition of 'illusion' we can argue that since vast majority of people believes that this world is not illusion; it is , therefore, not illusion.
There is a practical way too to know it. Just put your arm in tiger's mouth and you will know how illusionary this world is. (lol)
Don't try it.
Then it makes no difference ,whether it is illusion or reality, when we feel pain and happiness.

We don't...! No one really knows for sure one way or the other! We formulate our actions based on the assumption that it is not an illusion. However, being that we have no way of answer yes or no, what else can we do? We must act in a pragmatic way! If it is not real nothing is lost by being responsive to it, yet some is gained in knowledge/experience. If it is real, but acted as if it were not, there is plenty to be lost.
Note: Things are as real as their consequences. If you live and it feels real, for all functional purposes the pain and pleasure is real!!! You feel it... Feelings have no need to be real or not in physical terms to take effect.

I think, therefore I am. And if I think, then that is no illusion. The existence of thinking and self means the existence of world...even if it is in our heads, it's a world. So, the world is no illusion.

If it is an illusion, we are very much a part of it and fully immersed in it... hence we can't know........ unless we go by the hearsay that detaching oneself through spiritual emancipation does make one realize the illusory character of this world.

Because I see, hear, feel , taste and touch. . .
I looked upon a babies skin heard it cry its life began I felt him.
I listened on a stormy night and heard the thunder roar I hear him.
I looked up on the starry night I see him.
these things are no illusion. . .

We don't. So what if it is? You still have to deal with it as real, because it will sure as heck deal with you if you try to ignore it.
