I hate when I go to the toilet, sit down, and realize my two very clean butt cheeks are touching the rim of the toilet..... I don't care if I just cleaned the toilet 5 minutes ago...i still grosses me out!

Is it really that hard to put the seat down? or is it just amusing to hear us women complain about it?

It does annoy me when people leave the seat up, but a simple solution is just to make sure the seat is down before you sit!

And if it's clean, I don't really see it as a big deal if my butt cheeks do touch the rim.

The seat is always down in my house. FIVE dogs so I have to close it. BUT I do find this amusing. I mean you sitting down on the toilet. HOW pray tell do you go into the bathroom and NOT see that the toilet seat is raised up. that means the seat could be closed with the lid down and you would still sit down on that. LOL ur funny.

Here is a good question. Why do we have to put it down? Why can't you put it down? Is it that hard for women to put the seat down? Or are men just that much more advanced than women where we are the only gender that knows how to operate a toilet seat?

I like that last question... Because seriously, you can flip the light switch up in the bathroom to turn the light on and flip it down to turn it off... basically the same concept.

I don't mind as long as there's no urine on the seat or floor. Men tend to miss.

I just set it down with some toilet paper.

And when I'm done I put the top lid down. Toilets look better that way.

I don't see why women make it such an issue, why should we have to lift the seat up when we have to pee? We (both sexes) have arms and can lift or lower the toilet seat. Would you rather us piss on the seat and have u sit on that?
=)
edit* guess we have to break down the science for ya, guys can't always control the flow of urine through the penis...we don't have fingers inside their controlling the flow and keeping it from branching out instead of staying in the stream. Can you perfectly control your stream?

I consider the "toilet seat" issue one of those quirky things in life --- why it's such a big deal, I don't know, but it's been amusing reading the male and female answers!!!!!

A friend of mine had a sign on the wall behind her toilet:

"Attention: Men!!! Stand closer, it's shorter than you think!"

I also raised my boys to lower the seat when finished - and they knew - if you can't hit the hole, SIT DOWN! haha.... it doesn't bother me to put the seat down myself - I would feel totally lazy if I were to complain about it, since most of the time men do remember to put it down.

Good question! :-) bbjo

i dont get the whole putting the toilet seat down business. you should always look b4 u sit cause there could be a snake in the bowl . u could be sitting on a wet toilet set ,however. think about that.

I hate that. What I hate worse is if some "lady" does not sit all the way down and pees on the seat. If you sprinkle when you tinkle, please be neat and wipe the seat! And when men go, why can't they blot the little feller off instead of dribbling down the front of the toilet and onto the floor?

Should men leave the seat down, or should women leave the seat up when they're done?
