I have been taking the birth control pill for 7 plus years. This month I missed two pills. Can I be pregnant?

No method of birth control is 100%, but taken as instructed, it is generally a good 90% accurate or higher. However, as soon as you forget to take your pill, even for 24 hours the risks of ovulating and becoming pregnant are greatly increased.

If, however, you miss two consecutive pills, I would say you will probably ovulate and therefore almost certainly risk pregnancy.

I suggest you visit your Clinic as soon as possible and ask for emergency contraception immediatley.

If however, you have already passed 72 hours since you forgot your pill and had unprotected sex, then visit the clinic anyhow and see if they can assist you with pregnancy testing and further advice.
