talking and preaching family values is the republican way, and actually practicing and protection of family values is the democratic way. What are your thoughts?

cvq: The Clintons demonstrated family values by staying together through all that mess so many years ago. Your top candidate has been married three times??

The republicans don't want gay marriage because they don't want to marry their same sax partners.

The democrats only want family values as long as you pay higher taxes.

It's safe to say that no matter the party we are getting screwed either way.

My thoughts are that family values do not belong to one party no matter what some politicians say. There are Democrats and conservatives who can be found on both sides of practicing family values. I wish people would just look at each individual candidate and decide if they instill their family values then looking to their party. You will find many examples on both sides who have failed miserably in what most define as "family values".

Family values party is nothing more then going from the delivery room to the bathroom during your break period at work .
Its a preparation for people to become workers that are reliable and somewhat forced into a particular role in life .

We need people to become police soldiers and take care of us when we are sick .

The rest is food and shelter issues .

What laws will we need to keep people in line and how much free choice can we control without appearing to be to controlling and allowing the people a feeling of freedom and choice .

Dogs are more free then people .

Just think about it .

If we happen to hit one with a car are we a criminal .

I wonder if my boss put a leash around my neck and took me for a walk if I could pee in the streets .

Say he was really rich and owned the town and had his way .
Oh people might complain but they would get use to it in time .

Thats all a law is .

Something people get use to following over time .

Values are nothing more then rules to be followed and if you were born 600 years ago just south of the Usa you may have participated in human sacrifice because it was common then .
Those values were important then to civilized man .
SO go figure what is and is not a true value other then allowing each person to explore the world as they see fit .

Which "family values" do Democrats protect? By protecting (and celebrating) a sexual harasser and probable rapist, and making his wife a leading candidate for its nomination for president, I don't think the Democrats have anything to crow about.

But apparently both sides agree - people soliciting gay sex from strangers in public places should not be in high office. (I did not say straight sex too for fear of "offending" the Clinton defenders.)

PS I believe Bob Packwood and Clarence Thomas are still married also. And George Bush 41 and Bob Dole never had the scandals Clinton did, but again the Clinton's messy marriage was off limits. This is a partisan smokescreen, and intellectually dishonest in the extreme.

And you cannot possibly believe that if a Republican had allegations leveled against him such as those alleged by Juanita Broaddrick, that Democrats would just yawn collectively, as they seemed to do. Seems to me that when a Republican is in trouble, BOTH sides come down on him or her, but the Democrats will put up with pretty much ANY conduct from one of their own.

It's like the "you never served in the military" nonsense used against Republicans. Neither Clinton, Obama, nor Edwards ever served, yet we don't hear a peep from the left.

In your case don't you mean Family party values?

BTW, the Clintons NEVER demonstrated family values. It's tough to do that when both parents are gay.

My guess is there are people in both parties who want to do good things and there are people in both parties who just want to be elected and don't necessarily care about who they help if anyone. I think that republicans get themselves into trouble with trying to have moral highground as there is really no such thing as moral highground considering morals as many other things are subjective. I both parties need to get over themselves as they both at the top anyway think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread and that no matter what they do the people will still vote for them. Well with any luck, we will someday get a real third-party candidate who will win an election because people are tired of the pompus arrogant parties we have to deal with today.

When someone gets on a kick about family values, I tend to question his or her motives, because it seems to me that those who get on the highest horse about family values have the most to hide.

I fail to see the practice or protection of family values by the Democratic Party in any way at all.

Do you have any examples that actually support your unfounded and odious self-righteousness?

I think you are biased into believing your own lie. I don’t mean that harshly.

Both the dems and repubs not all but, are for the most part, morally corrupt politicians.

There are a few good Republicans and Democrats out there.

I would say that neither political party has the lock on family values. It should be practiced by all regardless of political philosophy, and those who cheat on spouses or do things that are illegal should suffer the consequences no matter what party they are in.

If your only definition of family values is sexual then Republicans talk the talk, then trip over their tongues.
If your definition of family values includes caring for the elderly, the ill, the infirm, the "least among us", loving the sinner, but hating the sin, you know, the core Christian beliefs before the televangelists rewrote the list, then Democrats walk the walk.
