My birthday was last week and my supervisor keeps on insisting on taking me out for lunch, I managed to come up with excuses for week and today she sent out an email to everyone to join her and I for lunch today without confirming with me.

I'm not trying to be anti social but i'm 3 months pregnant which i have not told her as yet, and I have bad morning sickness and I cannot stand the sight of food much less the smell of a restaurant.

I don't know what to do or what else to say to her. Any suggestions?

I think you have to suck it up...it's your boss and they are trying to be nice to you. Just get something on the menu that you don't think will make you sick. Soup or something light.... Good luck!

In your position, I would go to her office, ask if you could speak with her for a moment...close the door and sit down and talk.

To get out of lunch today....I would tell her that it was presumptuous of her to expect you to make lunch today...tell her you have an appointment that you have to keep on your lunch hour (where-ever, it doesn't really matter) and that you can't make it.

I would definitely tell her that you are pregnant...it's a great excuse to get out of a lot of after-hours things at work.

Hope this helps you.

I would just tell her the truth, no reason to go and suffer. I know how you feel im 6 months pregnant and in the begining looking at food always made the sickness feel worse. Dont do that to yourself just be honest.

just tell her the truth
she should understand
she'd feel better knowing the truth there instead of you making another excuse and not going

You might want to explain it to her because right now (to her) you are coming across like you have the I'm better than you are syndrome.
