A. Play dead = Lions aren't stupid, they can sense your body heat and breathing.
B. Get ready to fight = The Lion is too big and strong, with razor sharp teeth and claws.
C. Cry and poo = Not much of a point
E Run like h*ll = Lions can outrun you
D. Kiss your butt good bye = IS THE HIGHEST POSSIBILITY

I would like to think that playing dead would help but they may want to start an early lunch and that would not be pleasant. I would most likely want to run but they may start to run after me and that would make me cry and poop in my pants. I guess the best thing to do is to get ready to fight but I would feel so bad so it is a toss up with B and D.

Actually, conventional wisdom is to try to look larger. If you run, you look like prey and don't kid yourself you could outrun one. If you have a coat or jacket, put your arms up so your jacket opens. If it comes after you, you may be able to fight it off, especially if you have any help. Go for its eyes. And hey, if you're in the woods, always bring your pocketknife! I would probably C. and then B. myself.

F. you should make yourself physically bigger by spreading your arms out and puffing out your chest, while slowly backing away. this gives the animal the impression that you aren't afriad of them, but you don't want to fight them, either. i read that in the newspaper last year b/c we get a lot of mountain lions around where i'm at.
