He was already on thin ice and after that debacle last night, he's definitely in trouble now.

He's done. I dreaded last nights game all day. When you know a disaster is looming like that, you hope your wrong. I wasn't, and when The Tigers jumped out to that early lead, I couldn't even act surprised. The Yankees need to move up Joba to the starting role, and move Mussina to the bullpen where he can be a middle reliever against lesser teams. I'm just glad they burned him out before the Sox series.

Some pitchers continue to play well into their 40's. Others, like Mussina, reach a certain age or point in their career and hit a wall. The Moose has hit that wall so hard, there's little chance of recovery. He had a very good career. He was one of my favorite pitchers back when he played in Baltimore, but his time as a quality pitcher has passed. It seems now that even a college or high school team would hit well against him. I don't know who else the Yankees have who could take his place in the rotation, but it's obviously time to throw him in the bullpen, because the Yankees are almost guaranteed to lose when it's his turn to start. Remember a couple of years ago when the Yanks signed Al Leiter? He was very good, but at that point of his career, he was all done. Now, I think even Mussina knows he's all but done as well.

Mussina appears to be fading fast. The only way the Yankees will be able to get rid of him is release him and pay him the remainder of his contract (which runs through next year) or trade him and pay the majority of his contract to the team to which they trade him. Either way they are once again stuck paying big bucks to a player who probably won't earn it from this point forward.

Hmmmm. last week Baltimore gave up 30 runs in one game this week Mussina was involved in a game with 16 runs, maybe he thinks he's still in Baltimore? I have no idea, but at this point in time it is time to put the Moose out to pasture

They might skip him a strat or send himto the bullpen, BUT he is signed through next year to a huge contract so he will get another chance next year in spring training. He is pretty much un-tradeable unless the Yanks pay nearly all of his salary.

nope, mussina isnt done with the yankees just yet... they owe him too much money to just let him go..so, enjoy all those 81 mph fastballs and hanging sliders...youre still gonna see plenty of them...

Not just the Yankees, no major league team will look at him, unless he is hurt.

I WANT them to Trade or Relase or send him down.

I can take 6 RUNS IN THREE INNINGS!

Last outing he gave up 7 runs in TWO INNINGS!

Carl Pavano can pitch better then that.
