Why - in such an "enlightened" society and culture that you have created - would one of your own feel compelled to troll for same-sex anonymous encounters in a public bathroom?

Is there something missing in this tolerant and loving world of yours?

What the OP is saying, is the hypocrisy of many republicans is a cancer on themselves (AKA stuck in the closet of moral self servitude)

Why in the hell we have to legislate moral behavior is beyond me. If its between consenting adults and in private and does not involve children or Fido, then it should not be illegal or even brought up in our legislative bodies.

Peace

You have a problem with gay people? There are all kinds of people in the Republican party. Why do you assume the Republicans created this society?

Why did Clinton feel compelled to troll for interns?

Congress is a cesspool of pedophiles, prescription drug abusers, alcoholics, wife-beaters, tax cheats, psychotics, drug addicts, cross dressers, psychopathic liars, petty thieves, adulterers - maybe even a murderer or two.
There's nothing 'enlightened' about any member of Congress. They're all a bunch of thugs. -RKO- 08/28/07

Hmmm, let's see. What you're trying to say is that only Republicans are gay? That seems to fly in the face of the whole "Gays are all liberals" we always hear. And the fact that there are several prominent outed/ admittedly gay DEMOCRATS in Congress.

The Representative from Idaho was not convicted of trolling for gay sex in public washrooms. He pled guilty to disorderly conduct.

So, who is being intolerant and unloving here, you hypocrite?

this is not an uncommon practice in the gay community, particulally by those who wish to remain 'secret'.

this has nothing to do with being affiliated with a party. it speaks to the character of the person who commits such acts.

People can't speak for others. Ask to hear it from the horses mouth in a letter.

this guy has problems. some people do. hopefully the people that love him will help him. you'll have to ask him to explain his own actions any further than that.

Our closet GOP gay culture is very shocking to many. Many of us are married homosexuals, married to women. We do this to hide the fact we are homosexuals. Most of our older GOP gay men are bottoms, younger men are the tops. We are against gay marriage and accepting gays because we want to use homophobia as a smokescreen to hide our own homosexuality.
