had already been divorced and seperated on the grounds of my ex unreasonable behaviour and violence. He put me in Hospital for 6 weeks, during that time he got a residence order I am told he should have never had without my solicitor or myself present. But all I got from the court is that the children had been moved it would cause more damage to move them back, my ex also managed to obtain a 3 bedroom council house at this point also as he had been living in a room since I had thrown him out of our home 6 years previously, as he had not supported us emotionally or financially in anyway. Infact he also stole money from my 8 year old childs bank account, which had been put there by a relative for her future. The police said because he had taken her and she had signed their was nothing they could do, even though she was under 16.
I went through so much with this man now he has stolen my childrens childhood knowing I can have no further children and totally brainwashed my children .?

Sorry to hear this, but remember. Your children will be adults real soon, they will find you, and there will be nothing he can do about it. You are their Mom, and a Mom is very important in a child's life, no matter how old they get.

This all sounds really messed up to me

I wish there was some advice I could give you - it seems you have been down most of the routes that have been suggested.

Are your children still living with your ex?

I can only advise you to keep trying - maybe try to get the case on TV - phone a show like Jeremy Kyle perhaps - and keep trying the Press. Consider taking the case to the European Court of Human Rights. Keep trying your MP. If you keep plugging away you might end up finding someone who will help. This all sounds very wrong to me.

For what it is worth, whilst you can never get their childhood time back, children do grow into thinking adults.

Brainwashing as you call it, will only work whilst they are young and compliant.

The teenage years see a complete re growth of how the mind works and they will start to question how he behaves towards, them, others around them and eventually you.

Keep yourself strong for the day that they come to ask you what the hell happened- and don't make them turn away because you are bitter and hurt.

Be joyous , open and loving when you do eventually get the chance.

You need a better lawyer. The one you have must be asleep at the wheel. Your husband put you in the hospital for six weeks and HE has the children? Run, don't walk, to another lawyer...call the Bar Association for names, ask friends, get a good one!

Wow, I cant beleave how you all asume things, I spoke about my children and?
How I would hate for them to have a stepmum. Firstly I never ever loved my husband still dont, I was young he was biggest mistake of my life. I have not seen him or set eyes on him for 20 years and don't want to. I do not know if he has girlfriend or wife not interested. He is history. I have been happily divorced for 20 years I threw him out I divorced him. I have absolutely no regrets about it best thing I ever did. My children I had because I wanted them I love them very much am very proud of them and everything they achieve in their own right. I do not ever want to know what they have done with him or ever hear his name again. I certainly would never be in the same room as him ever again. I love being single and have no plans to ever live with or marry again. I certainly would not take on a man with children, because I think its time men learn't what it is like to be there 24.7. I go out with men enjoy them, but I would not take one home with me.?

There's probably a reason he put you in the hospital. Doesn't sound so cut and dry women usually win custody battles unless they are really horrible mothers.

I notice mention of HUMAN RIGHTS. Now it shows that HRL is not for decoration and we may all be needing it at some stage
