You know, if we could all grow up maybe gay men wouldn't feel the need to cover up and feel ashamed and frightened at the thought of exposure. Maybe they also wouldn't need to carry on in public restrooms, to be entrapped by policemen who would be better off on the streets.
If a man is good at what he does, and the people he represents vote for him, why should they change their opinion of him because he likes sex with guys? We don't vote for a clergyman, or a theologian, or Mr. Morality Please Lead Me.
We vote for an official who has the right ideas and visions for governance.
I am a Democrat, straight, married for more years than most of you are old, but I'm not scared by gay men or lesbians. I've never wanted to be one, but I've never wanted to change one either. Name calling by either party is playing into old stereotypes and its unnecessary.
If its against your religion then don't vote for a gay person for deacon, but otherwise vote for the person not their choice of sex partner.

That is the difference between out gay libs and closeted married gay conservatives. They are out, we are in the closet. That is why we attack gays, so you will think we are str8. This is nothing new. Just look at the overnight visiting records of the White House when Jeff Gannon (James Guckert "The Bulldog, 8" "bisexual TOP ONLY) was our Ace Reporter. Oh, that's right, our President Bush has locked those up in the closet ;). You may be shocked by our closet culture, many of our married GOP men have furtive gay sex in this manner. Most of our older GOP men are bottoms - that is the way of life in our closet gay culture.

I was once leaning towards homosexuality as being something you had no choice over .

I have reconsidered given the large numbers of wealthy men in politics who have chosen not only to subjugate women but also men .

Power knows no bounds it seems and Rome in its final days had begun to debase the very thing that means the most to us and that is our ability to love and commit ourselves to one another for life .

I wanted to believe that two men or two women could be born with the ability to love one another on a level that heterosexual couples do and thats just not the case .

Its about control and fear and I think this is why so many conservative men who seek a level of power in the community turn to men as an additional conquest and as such it is now a choice . Power corrupts .

There are some on the right who think that Craig should resign. A replacement would be appointed by the republican governor and would most likely be a member of his own party. Would the republicans calling for Craig's resignation still do so if the governor was a democrat?

I find it ironic that the GOP is "suppose" to be supporting "family values" yet consistently we hear of the perverts that reside in the GOP. Being against gays yet being gay is the ultimate hypocrisy. Can you say morally flexible? Or just say GOP.

I think you've got something there. And to respond to your second answer, yes I don't have a problem with homosexuals, but I do have a problem with people who speak out against it , vote against it and represent themselves as totally opposed to it and then are caught doing it. Damn hypocrite shoe tappers!

Sounds good to me.
The GOP National Convention is a huge hypocritical closet, isn't it?

No one is disgusted with his sexuality (except perhaps the "right"), people are disgusted that he would attempt to solicit sex in a bathroom of an airport.

You know I find it really disgusting when people use homosexuality as though it were something derogatory or to be ashamed of. It makes you look like a hypocritical con.

Hey, at least they aren't trying to marry the pages that they hit on. That might be a danger to the institution of marriage.
