I am currently 33-34 weeks and all of a sudden I have extreme nausea and have been throwing up for about 2 weeks, I never had morning sickness before. I need to take iron but I cant keep any food down. I keep having nightmares that my baby dies! I have an appointment on Thursday, my pregnancy has been a breeze so far, but now its all headed downhill, any one else experience this, I just want the baby to be ok.

I don't know what could be causing the nausea and vomiting. But I have a suggetion for the iron...can you take it before you go to bed? My friend did that with her prenatal vitamins because they made her sick. Don't worry, you are in the home stretch -- good luck!

Has the nausea started since you started taking iron? The iron could definitley cause the nausea and vomiting. That stuff is rough on your system. You should try switching to a slow release version, that REALLY helped me.

When I hit 8 months I also felt some pretty intense nausea (no vomiting) and I think a lot of it just that your stomach is cramped. Things are getting snug and Baby is squishing your tummy.

Be sure to keep the fluids going and continue your prenatals. It's really really important that you don't get dehydrated right now. Aside from that, I would say just switch from regular iron to slow release. Or just eat smaller meals.

Oh! Here's a suggestion! Ginger! http://www.gingerpeople.com Go there.

Try taking zantac its a safe to use acid reducer - it is probably heartburn or acid reflux that is causing you to be sick the baby is pushing up on your stomach and makes the acid there burn against your esophagus and whatnot

(make sure products you take are ranitidine tablets not the medications in pepcid ac)

If this doesn't help your doctor may hospitalize your for a few weeks with an iv untill it is safe to induce you if you can't keep anything down - but your baby is not going to die from some sickness i promise you! Your body will leach the nutrients your child needs from your stores if you are not eating for a short period of time - that's how babies whose mothers have morning sickness for first 3 months or so manage to live through it :P

Relax, try some zantac and get some rest you are going to need it

8 months is weeks 32-36 for the knucklehead up there that can't count! 9 months is weeks 36-40

Good luck

i think you need to tell your doctor about your sickness and throwing up.

And if you are taking iron pills. You should eat food before take the iron pills.
I have to take iron pills myself and i am 33 weeks. and going 34
But if you if eat a lot of meat that day i would skip it.

and 33-36 you are going to 9 month to you not 8 month anymore 8 month is 29-32 weeks.
It ok to have nightmares.
I think every parents worry.
So you should just go ask your doctor if you got other question.

I just went to my check up yesterday and i ask her if everything ok for me and the baby. and if the baby health.

Its just part of later pregnancy. Your hormones change and it causes an onset of morning sickness. Its very common.

Dont take iron pills. Eat something yummy that you enjoy, and eat a flinstones with iron. It's enough to boost your iron and not make you sick or constipated.
