You could try a small engine repair class if you don't have any kind of motorcycle class in your area. Engine's are basically the same.
There is a place out working out of Pensylvainia who's class you can do online. It's about a thousand dollars. I just tried to find it in a magazine but couldn't.

Another other option is to buy a shop manual for the bike you have now and read it to learn how to pull maintenance and do your own repairs. Your owners manual, if you have one, will tell you when to perform maintenance procedures and your shop manual will help you perform them. An aftermarket shop manual will do the same in most cases.
