Enki, I very, very sincerely am curious about what "makes" a bad morning! An unpleasant phone call, stubbing your toe, knocking something over, what? Do you simply wake up feeling "bad?" Is it inside, or outside? This really makes a difference.
When I go to bed, I totally sweep away any thoughts of what went on during the day, what I must do tomorrow, good bad or indifferent. I relax as in a sort of time warp, & sleep beautifully. When I wake up, I stretch, mmmm, breathe deeply, make my first cup of coffee & look out the deck windows to see the colours of the new day, morning activities of the bird community at the lake, perhaps even go out on the deck & groom some plants to make them happy. This is still my special time of serenity.
The night before, my peaceful & sound sleep, & pleasant morning ritual lay the foundation for a GOOD day.
Sorry, the "shrink" in me wonders what a bad morning means to you, how it's manifested. Because that's relevant too, as to how you can put the "bad" behind you & draw on your inner source of energy, joy, positivism in the "day to come."
I can't know of your personal pressures, conflicts, whatever--& all this stuff about having a big smile is because we love you, yet we have no way of truly understanding if it's all as easy as it sounds!
All I can really do, is wish you beautiful mornings, days & evenings, as you so kindly extend them to us. Take care, dear enki...

Yes I have had horrible mornings like this too when as soon as you wake from sleep its all bad hahehe the most important thing to say is that is shall pass no matter how bad your morning has gone the final thing is that you made it that thought in itself is a positive thing and that can make the rest of the day go by peaceful and ok with little drama from your morning wake up call good luck and think I survived the morning the day will end in a breeze :)))))

Good day/evening, Enki. The way a person can turn a Bad Morning into a Good Day is through positive self-talk with every negative comment they receive. Or by the time, they get out of work, people can reward themselves with what makes them happy as an individual.

Never mind, or, mind in another way. Think a brilliant strategy. Let's say that if was you who missed the bus. Walking gives you a chance to rest your eyes on a lot more things than you would see from the bus, and you may even say speedily good morning to others, and to strangers, you meet on your way. You can meet many in a mile, and the sun might even shine, a mild scenting morning glow. The assignment at home has got a chance to be re-revised, and possibly improved, if you can deliver it the next day, or the third day, and the teacher may be happy to make a new agreement with you. Good luck!

This depends on what has spoiled your morning!
I have a list, try one that feels suitable to the situation.

Taking a coffee break with a person you like.

Calling your best friend.

Getting into the flow with your work.

Taking a short nap and starting the day anew.

Working out.

Listening to music

and singing along - loud!

Going for a walk / cycling.

Having quality time with your child (because you can't complain to them, so their positive energy will be extra contagious!)

a beautiful day and evening to you too!

Both Ggod and bad feelings , at any time, reflect our attitude in life. A morning starts like any other morning , neither good nor bad. As we step in with a load of "carried over" attitudes we perceive them as good or bad. It takes only a little time to dwell into these attitudes and find the root cause.

To me it would look that , invariably, a bad morning is the continuation of a very bad evening the previous day (drinks, fights , arguments, ego clash...anything) and after a hopeless disturbed sleep with a heavy guilty feeling.

Try to get over the bad feelings the previous night itself by auto suggestion or by an expression of apology or simply prayer. It is like cleaning the system with an antiseptic. have a good sleep and you will see a cheerful morning. This is preventive measure rather than an action at that moment.

First, I attend to my physical reaction - for when we are having a bad time of it, our biology changes. For me, I breathe in and out deeply and slowly. This involuntarily relaxes the tension in your body.

Then I look upon what the cause are for my bad morning from a distance. I detach. I learn. I come to terms. I make adjustments. I adapt.

Next, I will insert positive thoughts in my thinking processes. When negativity tries to pop in and occupy space, I immediately chase it away. With practice, this is most helpful indeed.

In addition, sometimes, I will do a physical activity, such as bike riding. It too, relaxes the body when the ride is over and in the process releases endorphins - the happy hormones.

You are now in control of your emotional reactions. The day cannot help but turn into a good day.

Hi,
It's strange how one bad situation can lead to another, or one negative thought increases and affects our way of thinking. It’s strange how meeting someone who is in a bad mood can have a rub off effect and leave you feeling a bit miserable and deflated, even if you started the day in a bright or hopeful way.
How do you turn a bad morning into a good day. The only way is to FORGET what has gone before. Push it out of your mind completely. The next moment is going to be a happy one and things are going to get brighter. The bad morning is gone now and never was.

It depends on you, when you wake up, you might have woken up on the wrong side of the bed, so it depends if you want to be in a good mood or a bad one. When I wake up in the morning, I always think positive not negative, because if I stay being moody, my whole day will be ruined. I have always wondered in what state you send your questions from? is it in the united States or some other country. In my State which is Texas it is 2:40 p.m. So, have a good afternoon, and evening to you too.

When I am having a bad day I start with a gratitude list. I will make a list of 10 things that I are really grateful for, funny thing is once I get started it usually ends up being a lot more than ten. This never fails to help change my tude & feel better.
