I'm having a girl in December and need some help picking out a name. I never thought this would be so hard.

My boyfrined wants a common average name like Mary, Jill or Amy.

I DONT want a name like that, I like Lillian, Olivia, Natalie, Elena...

anyone have any name suggestions that will satisfy us both?

I like alot of the names you are picking out but most of them are already in my family, theres alot of girls.

no offense but Addison is horrible, not to mention it will be extremly popular due to Greys Anotomy. (plus it means Adams son, my boyfriends name is Edward)

I like Addison Noelle. Maybe you could compromise on Olivia Marie or Natalie Lynn. I know a lot of couples that they both make top 10 lists and then the other person goes through the list and picks out what they like so that way at least a name from your top 10 will be used or one of you picks the first name and one the middle name. Good luck and you will find the perfect name!!!!

Um...lately Olivia is average. Very trendy for about 7 years, now.

Elena is nice. What about Helen? Danielle? Jessica is making a comeback. Corinne? You guys should buy a specialty baby name book - they have some gigantic ones that have sections with trendy names, classic names, old fashioned names, etc.

Good luck!

Taking some exotic & matching it with some more familiar:
Dominique Jillian (nickname D.J.)
Amadea Leeanne (Maddie Lee)
Lorelei Rose

Good luck!

Im in the same boat as you although im ttc but my boyfriend and I still talk about names.....Its funny cause he loves the name Mary. What a about Hannah or Michalea? They are average names but not too average. You can play around with the spelling and make it unique. Good Luck!

Maybe find an older name that will seem new to you but satisfy his need for a common name. Something like Anabella, Macy, Grace...?

Edit: And don't do half of your name and half of his...that is an awful idea.

I really like Lillian. What about Christy, Marie, Jenna or Rachael they are not too out there but not too common either. Good luck.
