It is easy to doubt yourself when doing a piece of work and if you cannot engage that in itself will make you nervous and less able, it's a viscious circle.
My advice would be to prepare yourself, make a plan, first a basic one and then add detail - breaking the work into managable easier to digest 'chunks' will be less stressful and then you can relax in between stages - this is useful for coursework and revision. It is shown that people who study in this way are more effective than 'crammers'
Also setting yourself targets of study for so long, break for so long makes you more efficient and less stressed
If you take a book/other piece of reading around with you, say on a bus journey, you may feel you are not getting much from it but this bit of bonus study can come back when you least expect it.
Dont be too hard on yourself either - do what you can, and do your best but dont beat yourself up over it - aim to do as well as you can, and compare your performance on how much you know compared to the day before, not by comparing yourself to others.
Lastly, but not least stay physically well - drink plenty of water, get good rest/sleep and eat as well as you can - having certain foods can make your blood sugar levels plummet so set aside time in your breaks to eat a good meal.

Start with small things like memorizing a para or answers to 3-4 questions and take your own test.Since you have prepared for it ,you shall do well.Congratulate and reward yourself for the achievement and say that you are an achiever .Increase the content and scope of your tests.Slowly but surely your self confidence shall grow and there shall be no looking back. It's a tried and tested method. You may try a variation of the method to suit your own requirement.Good luck.

Don't keep worrying about it. We all know that human mind is like a monkey. It keeps wandering. But i would say, dude, practice is what makes a man perfect..Don't lose your patience.Keeping quiet and just allowing your thoughts to flow for a month would surely calm down your mind.If you try to control it,your mind will start going behind it.So,let it flow freely but don't go behind it. You will see that your thoughts get reduced..Remember.Silence is power.Good luck.

Prayer is good. Start your studying with a prayer that you will have the focus and strength to learn. (Meditation can actually increase your distractability, btw.) Ask the Lord to open your eyes and your mind, and help you see.
Every time you get a distraction, lift it up to the Lord, ask for forgiveness (sounds odd, but it works), and again repeat your prayer for focus. You'll do that a few times, but recognizing the distractions for what they are and setting them aside as sinful strengthens you.
He does support and raise up those who place their trust in Him. Doing everything, as Paul recommended, as though you were doing it FOR Him both keeps you from sin and helps you do your absolute best. The Lord's very generous that way.
God bless you in your studies!
(Please keep in mind that I'm not intending to condemn ordinary mind-wanderings as sins. I'm only suggesting that you might view them as such. For my own purposes in daily life, I do.)

try motivating yourself. like for eg, if you do well in an exam, you treat yourself with something rewarding. having a reward and achieving it is one way of motivation. if that doesnt work, keep reminding yourself of all the positive traits of yourself. why the negativity? self motivation is the way:D good luck.
btw, listening to mozart helps u to concentrate more.
