My opinion on the situation is this: The owner of the Falcons treated Vick like a prince. He gave him the biggest contract in the History of the NFL and doted on him like a son. Mike risking that by doing something he knew to be illegal was a betrayal of Arthur Blank. That franchise will take a decade to recover from this. As much money as Vick cost himself, he cost Blank more in ticket sales and merchandise.

Well, Vick is history and yes, the Atlanta Falcons have a tough road ahead of them because the offense was built around Vick. I just hope the Falcon Fans get behind their team and fill the stadium. It's not their fault they are in this mess.
Another way to look at it is that this may be a blessing in disguise for the Falcons. Vick was entertaining to watch but I don't think he was going to take the Falcons to the promise land. I also feel he was grossly over paid. So next year they free up money in the salary cap and draft a good quarterback. Then in a couple of years they are back in the race.

Yes people fight for money but they CHOOSE to fight. These dogs that are beaten and starved and held in cages are not choosing this treatment.
Why is it so hard to understand that he is guilty?
Don't blame the Falcons. They were trying to make Atlanta into a real football city with a great enviorment on gameday.
If you want to blame someone...Blame Vick

hi,
yes he was wrong, the dog fighting is cruel and the killing of the dogs for what ever reason was cruel. and he should pay for it, but for some reason i feel that it is being blowing out of the waters. i feel that the sports people are trying not to be a second Hollywood, they botched up with the young stars you know who i am talking about, (i mean one day for cocaine)come on, (82 min for endangerment of others) and (probation violations) get real. i feel that Vick is more or less cough up in the whole thing and will be made an example of to show that the sports commissioner will be cracking down on any miss behavior of the NFL.
do not get me wrong he was wrong and must be punished. i just saying his will be harder than those that endangered humans and not animals. so i guess that the animals are more impotent than humans in th U.S.A.
