Well, which approach are you taking?

"Global Warming: Smoke and Fire or Smoke and Mirrors?"

It depends on which position your speech takes. If youre trying to say that global warming is not a big deal, then say: Global warming is not as bad as many anticipate it to be.

If youre trying to say that global warming is a big deal then say something like this:
Global warming is a real danger to the well-being of our planet.

And if you are trying to say that global warming is all man made than you are explicitly wrong. Pick another thesis.

A good thesis for you is to refute Al Gore's conspiratorial assertions to the causes of global warming--that it is all man-made.

It is odd, as scientists have recently discovered, that other planets like Mars and Venus are experiencing global warming, yet there are no SUVs, methane from cows, and gasoline emissions prevalent on those bodies.
