Actually, I wouldn't have been that STUPID. I'd have told my spouse immediately, in such an instance, and then together we would have proceeded right away to use the money in constructive ways. Such as starting a charitable foundation, and getting a new house.

Oh yeah. I love delicious secrets...walk around with a big ol' grin on my face. "What's up with you lately...?" they would all ask...I'd be like..."Oh...I dunno...not much...la dee da...hmmm?" Meanwhile knowing I gotta a million or more large in da bank...rubbing my hands together...teeheehee...however, what would be the purpose...to accumulate some interest or something? I'd tell my husband after a bit...maybe sit on it for a day or two after it was official then after tything a good chunk buy him that Dodge Cummings Turbo Diesel and having it in the drive when he pulls up from working in his 10 year old Audi thats falling apart. I can just picture it now...his face...him needing a change of shorts...

Dodge Cummings Turbo Diesel - 36k
Shorts-3.99 for a 2 pack.
Seeing my husband squeal like a 3 year old girl...Priceless.

Ahahahaha...okay back to reality. Love in Christ, ~J~

She must have had a special set of circumstances that we don't know about, 'cuz 99% of us wouldn't do that.

I don't know the story, but maybe she's the type of person who really hates drawing attention to herself, and didn't want fanfare.

Maybe she wanted to consult attorneys, financial adviors, etc., before telling ANYONE. And if she had told her husband, he obviously would have put tremendous pressure on her to take certain actions.

I couldn't keep something like that a secret from my husband. We are partners in everything we do so I would have to tell him and split my winnings with him.

No way, my husband would be the first to know right after I'd checked my numbers.

Waiting to spend it - I could wait.

Hiding it from my partner is unethical to me. How would she feel if he hid it from her? Something is fishy about that...
