It was amazing as the moon started to go into a lunar eclipse, mars became visible, as if there were two moons. I took a photo, check it out.

No offence Jason T. but you analysis of the picture doesn't make sense. Lots of places saw the eclipse near the horizon last night. I am from the US.
For the record it was moonset and I am from the east coast.

For the benefit of those who say it's amazing: that picture is FAKE. It's not even a very good one. Look at the black square around Mars.
The partial eclipse is real, and judging by how low the Moon is in that picture I suspect it was the one from a year or so ago that was visible at moonrise in the UK. Mars has just been cut and pased in, badly.
It's bad enough we've had the e-mail hoax going around. Do we really need people faking pictures of it and perpetuating this ignorant nonsense still further?
Edited to add: OK, so I got the analysis of the eclipse part of the picture wrong (I did say it was a guess), but that doesn't alter the fact that Mars was not visible and your picture is a fake.

There are enough confused people on this site without you adding to the confusion by posting a faked picture. Really cheap! You should be ashamed of yourself.
I saw the real eclipse AND the real Mars (through a telescope). The Moon and Mars were over 100 degrees apart in the sky, and Mars' gibbous disk was tiny, even at 180x in my telescope, compared to the Moon.

Couldn't you photoshop the little black square from around Mars? And the moon doesn't usually eclipse power lines. Others have done it better in the last couple of days.

No, I missed it... I got up early to watch it but there's too many trees/houses around here... and I couldn't drive anywhere.
WOW!! Great picture!!! :D
Makes me sad that I missed it but at least I know what it looked like... that's amazing!!!
EDIT: Oh, it's fake... why would you do that?? :( :(
And I can see the black square around Mars nowwww... my laptop screen is back so everything kind of blends.
Man! >:( Grr!
And yeah... makes sense... you wouldn't see Mars' surface from Earth...
