I try to do my best. By helping others as much as I can, in any way I can, I not only try to brighten their lives, but I also brighten my own as well. It's always great to be able to put a smile on someone's face.
And Aussie, I hear you just made a friend's life a little brighter. Thank you ;)

oh yes
i try my best ...and that is one of my goals in life
but has anyone's life been brightened by me?
that is nothing that i'm aware of .
i try to do it whenever i have a chance
i try to advise others around me ...help them with whatever they need...make them feel they're special...let them understand that life is all about ups and downs,relief and suffering, love and hate, happiness and sadness, easy times and obstacles....
life is not hard , but knowing how to live is what needs a little effort.
until now i don't think someone's life has been brightened by me ...but i never gave up
still trying
and believe me you did it more than once for me

I most certainly do.
It is done by being way to nice.
for instance, I'm on the computer right now when i should be in the airport leaving for Lebanon, but me being the nice person i am i delayed my trip until Saturday so that someone else could take the next couple of days off

Yes, I try. In a lot of ways.
First, I smile often...it comes naturally to me.
Then, I love to send little cards or notes (real...not computer) to friends, just to let them know I am thinking of them or if I know they need a little pick me up. That kind of thing.
I also REALLY enjoy surprising my friends and little kids that I know with a small gift. You know...if I am out and see something that I know a they would really enjoy, I get it for them! It is so much fun seeing their face light up!
Anyway...I just basically try to show people how I feel about them in tangible ways...

I smile only. In the west everyone always looks so gloomy, but when you smile at them they end up smiling back. Miss that about the east , in most parts all say good morning and smile. Now only the elderly people in the west smile. Smiles dont cost anything but they are worth millions.

How do I do it? I don't do anything special really, just be there when they need an extra pair of ears (to listen to what they want to say), an extra pair of eyes (so I could watch over them if no one is there), an extra pair of arms (for if they needed a hug)...etc...(I won't go on with my remaining body parts...don't want you all to get ideas...lol)
