i just swapped out my 2.5 for a 4.3 and now the fuel pump won't even kick on was working before motor swap any body got any ideas

fuel pump relay is hooked up and is a brand new one

You've missed hooking up the fuel pump relay. If you're not hearing the pump kick on when you first turn the key to the on position, you're not getting current to the relay or the relay is bad.

You may have missed connecting a wire or damaged a wire installing. The Fuel Pump should work off a relay on the engine. I not familiar with this Engine, but, assume the relay be around the Fuel Rail.

Check all grounds to the engine.ECM should turn fuel pump on to prime for a second when ignition on.
