No. The discussions may lead to hotheads inciting civil disturbance. And I will have to clean up the roads after they mess it all up.

It should never have died an unnatural death in the first place. People wants the truth but the truth is nowhere to be heard. We are left to conclude for ourselves the real truth behind the "Hello Garci" tapes. And the majority believes Garcillano is very much guilty and deserves to be hanged. So is the other person he was talking to - in the tape. If the issue is going to be revived in the Senate, is there a guarantee that, this time, we will have the truth and that true justice will be served? Or, will it meet its unnatural death again?

If it's all true...
It's actually serendipity, something good landing in the lap of the Philippines for once.
Because, if GMA won on the basis of Hello Garci, she prevented the Philippine voters from electing ANOTHER ACTOR (FPJ) into the presidency!
She saved the country from its foolhardy voting collective, if it's all true. This act of salvation shouldn't be punished.

No, and especially now when there's something going on in the South.
A nation must stand united behind its President. Let's not rock the boat.
It's all water under the bridge. Let sleeping dogs lie.
A belligerent Senate and an Executive fighting for sovereignty in the south, so close to devious neighbors, is not good for the country.

Absolutely. As a matter of fact, I don't think it should have ever been dropped in the first place.
The issue of a president who could have allegedly cheated her way into the presidency is no small matter, and should be discussed and cleared as soon as possible. Cheating on the presidential elections not only scandalizes the Philippine political system, it is also a bastardization of this system which we like to call "democracy".

They should.
I like Garcillano to be convicted. He is the one that made Comelec a very unpopular government institution. With him as a commissioner, the Comelec is at its lowest ebb.

Yes, because the people who should be punished by law are not yet punished. Therefore justice has not been given to those who are still suffering from its consequences.
