Larry Craig (R-ID) hypocritically **opposed** gay rights in Congress, and then proves himself to be gay by getting caught in a public rest room sting in Minneapolis... and pleading GUILTY!

There's *nothing* wrong with being gay -- which is simply a variation of normalcy -- but **everything** wrong with being an elected legislator who is a LYING HYPOCRITE, and in the process taking a stance and voting against personal liberties of millions of people -- for ansolutely NO good reason!

This is another stake in the coffin lid of the Party of Dishonesty and Sleaze, and of the loathsome RRR Cult ("Religious" Radical Right), and its agendas of mindless hate.

I absolutely LOVE to see stories like this, which help lead to the downfall of mindless bigotry and sleazy dishonesty. How about you?

To "libsticker" -- Your moronic nick alone shows that you have no interest in FACTS. Clue -- most of today's "conservatives" wouldn't know a fact if they tripped over it. And you listen to Faux News? LOL!!! **That's** par for the course! Want another source? A **reliable** one? You should have listened to the OBJECTIVE coverage of this on NBC's "Today Show" this morning! Larry Craig is typical Republican/RRR **sleaze**, and the hypocritical, lying, and hateful dirtbag got caught -- and then pleaded GUILTY!! Deal with it... if you can possibly muster up that much honesty.

To "BRYAN H" -- You claim that I find pleasure in the misfortune of others? Suggest you consider the fact that I am happy to see a BIGOT go down, who **caused** misfortune to millions (by denying equal rights to them with his loathsome votes). I'm all about PREVENTING misfortune, to all who don't deserve to experience misfortune. Please DO try to keep your facts straight.

To "libsticker" -- Your situation has not improved. By pleading guilty to that particular charge, hypocritical Larry Craig "came out." (Hurts to see one of your pet loons who doesn't give a rat's patoot for the personal liberties go down the tubes, doesn't it? LOL!! Today's breed of "conservatives" are all about trying to destroy personal liberties that are valuable to millions of people -- and it's really starting to bite those losers in the butt! I **love** it!!)

To "Salsa Shark" -- So you're saying that people who are black, or have blue eyes, or are left-handed are ABnormal? Sorry, that that doesn't fly. Any more than being gay is abnormal. All of those traits are variations of normalcy.

To "Ed Harley" -- Even though I'm straight, I advocate EQUAL rights for ALL people. Including the right of gays to marry their partner of choice, regardless of gender. Which is 100% HARMLESS.

Larry Craig DID plead guilty, so he IS guilty. And in the course of pleading guilty, he outed himself as being gay So he also is a hypocrite.

YOU wrote: "If you’re going to find Sen. Craig guilty, where’s your moral outrage for Sen. Kennedy getting away with murder, or Pres. Clinton getting away with Perjury before congress? Are you equally critical of LBJ’s coupe? Can you muster a mouthful of hate for Pres. Carter for selling the CIA’s noc list to China?"

This question deals with NONE of those other people, so your dragging a red herring/strawman around is very obvious and transparent.

We either have a country that treats everyone EQUALLY, or we don't. As an egalitarian, I consistently take on all bigotry in defense of ALL personal liberties. I am proudly a *social* (not fiscal) liberal.

You're fooling yourself if that's what you believe. People with the agenda of denying equal rights to all will dismiss this as surely as they believe what they are doing is right. Just like the middle-east has their religious fundamentalists, we have ours. Liberty University, trying to change American laws to biblical laws. God save us from that type of christian.

Speaking of hypocrites, how do you point your finger at those who foment “mindless bigotry and hate” in the middle of your rant which foments mindless bigotry and hate.

Your rant is rendered even more specious because none of your assertions are correct.

Sen. Craig never voted against “gay rights”. Gays rights were never under attack. Nobody has denied gays life, liberty or the pursuit of happiness. They can work, shop, buy land, vote, own firearms, etc. without any hint of discrimination because they’re gay. Voting to preserve the institution of marriage is only viewed as a vote “against gay rights” by gay rights activists. Gay rights activists aren’t pushing for equal rights for gays, they’re pushing for special recognition for devient choices.

I have a bulletin for you, Roadrat; having sex is not a laudable act. Further, perverting the act of having sex isn’t either. Nobody cares what gays do in private any more than they care what straights do in private. Tell your boyfriend to let you pull your head out of the pillow once in a while and look around!

I don’t know what happened in that airport restroom, any more than you do. I do know what got said and how it was said during his interrogation. The tapes have been released and played ad nausium in several venues. What he pleaded guilty to was a misdemeanor charge of “disorderly conduct”. Even under interrogation, Mr. Craig continued to insist that the officer was making untrue statements about his behavior.

Last time I checked, here in America, you’re still innocent until proven guilty.

If you’re going to find Sen. Craig guilty, where’s your moral outrage for Sen. Kennedy getting away with murder, or Pres. Clinton getting away with Perjury before congress? Are you equally critical of LBJ’s coupe? Can you muster a mouthful of hate for Pres. Carter for selling the CIA’s noc list to China?

That’s what I thought. Just stuff your face back in the pillow ‘til NBC news comes on so you’ll know what to say tomorrow!

No I do not "love" seeing such a thing, and I think anyone who does is not much of man. I agree that what he did was wrong and he failed the voters who trusted him, but that does not hinder my belief in family values and traditional marriage, in fact it just emboldens my resolve to vote for a good solid Conservative Republican who will not only protect this nation, as President Bush has, but will also continue to stand tall for Conservative values. And, I will be voting for the first time in 2008! I look forward to making sure it counts!

Just because someone is gay (or not) doesn't mean they support so-called gay rights. Most gays I know would vote the same way Craig did.
Why is it this guy gets caught trying to spoon in the bath room and he has to quit when Clinton got caught in the white-house and that's OK? Is it because it was a girl? Who are the real bigots here?

It's ironic that Republicans are usually associated with the Moral Majority or claim that they are steadfast Christians (against gays) and then incidents like this happen. I, for one, am tired of religion in politics and the holier than thou attitudes that one sometimes sees in the political arena.

Is there a question in your ridiculous diatribe? Also, I believe any dictionary in the world could be used to show that a "variance" in normal is Abnormal. That aside, everyone on earth is a hypocrite to one degree or another...calm down for pete's sake.

Nope I do not love seeing it.

Why do these guys always get busted in the men's room? Can't they find a motel, a dirt road, something?

I hate even going to the restroom now days... one never knows who's lurking, waiting to pounce.

I think hypocrisy is not a disqualifier for the senate; otherwise, we'd be luck to find even one senator per state.

You hit the nail on the head. There is nothing wrong with being gay but a HUGE problem being a liar.

I find no pleasure about reading of these liars, I am actually sick of it.
