You can get lots of scholarship money. I did well in highschool and was awarded around $10,000 in scholarship money. Then when I did well in college, I receieved two $1,000 scholarships. Now I will be attending grad school and it is totally paid for.
So, if you do well academically (or in some cases, athletically) you will be rewarded.

The obvious is that a well educated person has the advantage of better paying jobs and the likelihood of building a better future for themselves. A student who determines early on to do his best learns time management skills, rules for effective study times, and a discipline to be punctual for classes and assignments and to avoid the pitfalls of being a "party animal."

It builds your confidence. People around you praise you. Creates a better platform for you to get admission in a better university. Better future, good jobs, good woman, good children, they do good in school, get admission in better university, better life, better jobs, better woman .. lol so on
