My guess is people will remember why they voted Republican in 04. The Democratically controlled congress has done nothing. The approval rating of the congress is so low it is laughable. Last time I checked it was at 13%. The President's approval rating is rising. Now nearing 40%. The American people understand that they must decide on more than one issue. Taxes, health care, Iraq, crime, the infrastructure, schools, all of these figure into the equation of who to vote for. I will look for the better candidate, the one I think can handle all of the above. So far, that candidate has not appeared. The one who is closest is a Republican. I know for sure I will not be voting for the shrillest person running. She does not have my confidence and she will not get my vote.

Stay the course equals losing the next Presidential election, period. America sent the republicans a message in 06', they obviously didn't get the message, another reminder will be needed in 08'. No republican backing this fiasco will win the White House and those in congress who insist on backing the President's Iraq policy will probably lose their seat with only a few exceptions. This President is killing the GOP.

Aside from Ron Paul, the answer is no.
I'm quite disappointed in Congress these days; they need to be reminded that they were elected for a reason. At this point, a smarter and less hostile president is needed, and none of the GOP candidates are it.

I would say Giuliani has a different plan because he has not bought into the democracy is necessary in Iraq gambit. This is the first step to backing away from expecting the Iraqis to behave like Americans.

Giuliani supports the war in Iraq. As recently as last week, he said an Iraq pullout will increase the terrorists' power.
"There's an extra danger involved in this that might be worse than Vietnam. And it's not about scale. Obviously the Vietnam scale is much larger," said Giuliani. "This is an enemy, the Islamic terrorists, who have proven to be even more aggressive than the Communists were, in the sense that the Communists never attacked within the United States."
I, for one, support Giuliani's position.

Ron Paul certainly does, although his chances at the nomination are poor. Chuck Hagel might run, and he is also in agreement with the Democrats on Iraq, while being more or less a hardcore conservative on everything else.

Maybe win? What's the alternative, a Democrat who is willing to hand our soverignty over to terrorist freaks? You can keep those gutless wonders. The only thing the D's have a plan for is government interference, government interference, and government interference. How about they keep their fat, greasy fingers out of my affairs thank you. We all know the failures of government interferece in the past. Welfare, a nearly bankrupt social security system that you'll never see a dime of, failing public schools and a broken border. So you keep voting Democrat, take your hand out and I'll keep on passing you by in life.
