Isn't this the bottom line?

The bottom line is this; until we leave, the Iraqis will use us as a crutch. They have to go through their own blood letting, like every other society has, to find their own level. Isn't this the bottom line?

Anti-Lib - The situations with Germany and Korea might be just a teeeeeny bit different than the situation with Iraq.

I have always said this and I will continue to say it. The Iraqi government needs to step up to the plate because if they think that the American people are going to let our troops die for an indefinite time, they are in for a rude awakening.

The bottom line is we should have never gone into Iraq in the first place. Since we did, we should have left immediately after Saddam was caught, we didn't. We seem to find reason after reason to stay. The only reason that makes any sense to me and has been constant throughout this whole fiasco is oil. I say let the chips fall where they may, we have already lost enough American lives, we don't need another ten year fiasco like Vietnam.

you maybe right! but we need to kill more of them alqeudas in the mean time. so we can leave but I say give them (the Iraqis) fair warning and prepare for the terror attacks here. because they will come.
