HOW TO CORRECTLY PLACE NEW EMPLOYEES

1. Stack 400 bricks in a closed room.
2. Let your new employees in the room and close the door.
3. Leave them alone and come back after 6 hours.
4. Then analyze the situation:

a. If they are counting the bricks, place them in the Accounting Department.
b. If they are recounting them, place them in Auditing.
c. If they have messed up the whole place with the bricks, place then in Engineering.
d. If they are arranging the bricks in some strange order, place them in Planning.
e. If they are throwing the bricks at each other, place them in
Operations.
f. If they are sleeping, place them in Security.
g. If they have broken the bricks into pieces, place them in
Information Technology.
h. If they are sitting idle, place them in Human Resources.
i. If they say they have tried different combinations, they are
looking for more, yet not a brick has been moved, place them in Sales.

j. If they have already left for the day, place them in Marketing.
k. If they are staring out of the window, place them in Strategic Planning.
l. If they are talking to each other, and not a single brick has been moved, congratulate them and place them in Top Management .

Finally, if they have surrounded themselves with bricks in such a way that they can neither be seen nor heard from, get them to form a Government.

Haha! Funny!

Though I couldn't help but comment on the statement "If they have already left for the day, place them in Marketing." Please excuse my audacity, but being in the Marketing business, I just wanted to say that the Marketing group is usually the last ones out of the building. We have to form strategies and do public relations, so it's kinda like a 24-hour job. ^_^

I loved the ones on Engineering and Operations, though. Those two groups often cause the chaos that make the Marketing people need to stay after working hours! :D

No, I'm not an employer, Big Chuck.

That's a fair depiction of what we engineers do because we could really create chaos if we wanted to. But we only do that on purpose to justify the existence of other functions within the organization, like Marketing. :D

Thanks for sharing this, mate!

If they say those are bricks you won't find anywhere, and they are the most wonderful bricks on earth, place them in ADVERTISING.
