I'm not sure what you're asking. Bess is a name that means "God is my oath." Bess can be short for Elizabeth. Bess is the name of a beetle--could you clarify your question?

Bess, your meaning is based on how you see yourself fitting into your environment. Humans create a mental model of reality that they use to comprehend the events in their lives. The model is updated every time you learn something new or when things change. Infants have very simplistic models composed primarily of their ideas about their parents. When broad changes take place there is suddenly a very noticeable discrepancy between the model and the external world the model no longer works to make accurate decisions or provide reliable information and this feels very uncomfortable. This type of thing typically happens when one moves out on their on for the first time or gets divorced and experiences a big lifestyle change. It can be very painful but as you adjust to the new situation the model comes back into focus and you begin to feel more comfortable. Knowing this, it is important not to isolate one's self too much during these times. Go out and get involved and meaning will emerge.

Bess can mean a kiss, (I think it may come from Spanish Besos).
