Gonzales dragged his own name through the dirt with his lies and machinations and activities that were against the interests of the American people.
He has yet to tell the truth about the political firings of the US attorneys. An attorney general should not use the system to perform illegal actions and then lie about it.

No.He got of easy but it's typical for Bush to say something like that.
In the Bush administration "the negation of truth is so systematic. Dishonest accounting, willful scientific illiteracy, bowdlerized federal fact sheets, payola paid to putative journalists, 'news' networks run by right-wing apparatchiks, think tanks devoted to propaganda rather than thought, the purging of intelligence gatherers and experts throughout the bureaucracy whose findings might refute the party line -- this is the machinery of mendacity...The point here is not the hypocrisy involved, though that is egregious. The point is the downgrading of truth and honesty from principles with universal meaning to partisan weapons to be sheathed or drawn as necessary. No wonder the Bush administration feels no compunction to honor the truth or seek it; it conceives truth as a tactic, valuable only insofar as it is useful against one's enemies

Gonzales was a liar from the beginning, like the devil. He refused to answer the most important questions regarding the charges against him. He was probably the most deceitful Attorney General this country has ever seen, and gladly did the bidding of The Great Deceiver, even if it meant violation U.S. law.

All of the Bush people are crooks.
Neutral yes, I have lived many places but not USA.
Sorry to say this but people outside USA see Bush and his mates as crooks. One by one they are going down.
Rumsfield, Chainy, Bush, Gonzales all crooks
The sooner they all go the better for the world.

Gonzales made a mistake when he visited Ashcroft in the hospital to gain his signature for survellance that was illegal. He tried to get a sick and out of it man (Ashcroft) to scrawl his signature on a document giving authority to survellance. Ashcroft refused, and, Gonzalis then fled the scene, dispicable.
