Can't think of any i have received.
I think the worst piece of advice i have ever given was telling my 4 year old she must never hit back.
She came home from school everyday covered in bruises, teeth and pinch marks. After a year of this i told her to do it back, as the school and the parents did not seem very bothered.
She smacked one child after they had smacked her and since that day they leave her alone.

In regards to a strained relationship between my father and I: "you should really patch things up before it's too late". (After trying unsuccessfully for 10 years, I finally realized that I'm not a seamstress. Some old quilts just have to be thrown out.)
In regards to a broken heart: "time will heal all wounds". Bullsh*t. (All that time does is make you endure that hurt and pain for one more minute, one more hour, one more day....)

not to move to ireland (am from germany), where i met the man of my life. i went against the advise and moved in with him and we r still very very happy (5 years later!!!), have a beautiful baby girl and getting married in 2009!!! now all the others can c as well i did the right thing and they were wrong in their thinking!!!!

go home and put your feet up you are fine-Advise given when i had pnumonia and pluerisy i ended up in the same hospital for a fortnight who gave me this advise
