LETS SAY YOU MAKE AN ARTIFICIAL LAKE OR POND, ITS 100 FEET IN DIAMETER AND 6 FEET DEEP. HOW MANY MALE & FEMALE BETTAS CAN YOU KEEP IN THAT LAKE?

evelynmarch26: Great Answer! But I can't do the artifical lake NOW, because I live in an apartment in Bronx, NY. I will do it if I leave the City.

A lot, but only if it is heatet well around 76-82 degrees and tons of live plants in there

let's say around 20 males and 50 females maybe

I second bzzflygirl's answer - it's unlikely that ornamental bettas will survive in a pond environment. It's also quite difficult to heat ponds.

Ornamental bettas are very very different from wild bettas. Ornamentals won't survive in a lake.

I'm really not sure, but I wouldn't but too many together as they will fight to the death. Try looking beta fish up on google.
